The range of areas we inspect on our Fundamentals Check includes:
Re-inspection: Check snags have been repaired properly
The snags that we raise in the first survey are often found using specialist equipment, they can be in hard-to-reach areas, or are simply complex issues. Once the tradesman have been to fix the list of snags we issue, it therefore can be tricky to know if they’ve done it properly… Let our professional snaggers check this for you

Why get a Re-inspection?
During the snagging journey of a new-build, half the battle is getting the builder to action your snag list and fix snags properly. A re-inspection ensures the builder hasn’t cut corners
During a Snagging Survey we will raise a variety of issues; some are obvious to a lay-person, and yet a lot will be complex to understand and may be out of sight. This is where a re-inspection comes in handy. We will revisit the property armed with the initial Snag Report, and check whether the snags have been fixed. Snags that have been fixed will have their status changed to “Complete” (a box prompted for ticking on the initial report) and the snags unresolved will be kept in.
As well as checking according to the initial report, it is an opportunity for us to raise any new Snags that may have occurred since our first Survey. This will typically be things caused by shrinkage: such as cracks that are of a concern.

- Re-check on roof and other fundamental areas

Maximising Builder Response: Make sure your new-build gets fixed properly.
The deadline for your developers warranty is 2 years after completion. After this time-frame you will be forced to raise issues with the warranty insurers which is not straightforward
Peace of Mind with workmanship: We know the standards trades should meet
It is no secret that the workmanship of new-build houses is often poor. Trades are rushed, under-skilled or just don’t care. A Snagging Survey will identify these issues and yet it is often the same trades that will re-attend to fix their own shoddy work!
With this in mind, it is important to check their workmanship to repair is done correctly. In some instances the attempted repair can make the original snag worse! Whilst you will be able to check that the obvious snag have been fixed, some of the more complex snags will need a professional to check.
