Alongside your Snagging Survey or Fundamentals Survey, we offer a hybrid version of our full Thermal heat-loss Survey which we call a Thermal-Lite. This is a for a fraction of the price as we just check from the inside

Our “Thermal-Lite” is an opportunity for us to check for heat-loss (internally), offered as a bolt-on service when booking.
We have been carrying out thermal heat loss surveys on newly built properties for the past 7 years and have discovered hundreds of houses with missing cavity wall insulation, missing or poorly laid loft insulation, thermal bridging, draughts, inefficient heating systems and cold air infiltration.
We are the only nationwide snagging company that is qualified in Building Thermography. This is important because many snagging companies try to copy what we do, but they don’t know what they are doing and are misdiagnosing issues. To do thermal heat loss surveys properly you need to conduct them in the correct conditions, use calibrated high-end thermal cameras and have the knowledge and training to know what to look for / what to dismiss.

On-site, the process takes between 30mins – 1hr alongside the snag survey. Our reports are presented in a professional yet easy-to-understand format distinguishing between issues / non-issues for your reassurance.

What we look for:
Our Thermal-Lite aims to identify thermal issues in your house such as draughts, missing loft insulation, air infiltration behind plasterboard, thermal bridging and underperforming heating systems.
You can book our Thermal-Lite as an additional service which will be prompted when booking either the Snagging Survey or Fundamentals Survey. We cannot carry this out on a Pre Completion inspection.
